Tom Woodforde
Director
I’ve always had a fascination for building things; I started my working life as a civil engineer, running construction projects for Edmund Nutall and whilst the project management was interesting, it turned out to be using software to improve the operational efficiency of the projects I was working on that really caught my imagination.
In 2001 I studied for a Masters in Computer Science at the University of Manchester and then made the move into IT, first in civil engineering and then working to provide bespoke software systems to small and medium sized businesses. This latter stage of my career has proved the most satisfying as nowhere are the benefits of the right software system more evident than in an SME. Working with a customer to design a system that’s a perfect fit and then seeing the instant improvements this enables is endlessly satisfying.
Away from the office I’m a keen cyclist. After years of mountain biking I’ve caught the road riding bug and am a very proud member of the board of the Cowley Road Condors cycling club.
